- Lu Strickland's fire logs fill eleven notebooks, 1990 to 1999. They have never been lost and have never been lent. Ms. Strickland allowed one page to be photographed.

Lu Strickland logged the pit temperature every hour of every cook from 1990 to 1999, in pencil, in a spiral notebook kept in a bread bag. She also logged each split of wood added. On the 1994 tour she added the set times.
This page is Amarillo, the eighteenth city. The wind came up at five. The log shows it.
